"Cora" is a Professor of Management and currently the Chancellor of UP Baguio. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of the Philippines at Los Banos. Likewise, she has two master’s degrees - MS Agricultural Economics from UPLB and MA Economics from UP Diliman. Her undergraduate program is also in Economics from UPLB. Dr. Abansi has worked with the Department of Agriculture for almost 10 years. She has also served as Research Associate of the International Rice Research Institute in the late 80’s and as Project Officer of the UNDP-IMO Program for the Prevention of Marine Pollution in East Asian Seas in the early 90’s. Prior to joining UP Baguio, she was connected with De La Salle Lipa for eleven years where she served as Dean of the Graduate School and later as Vice-Chancellor for Academics.
